Child Abuse

“Child abuse casts a shadow the length of a lifetime.” - Herbert Ward

The term "Child abuse" is used to describe a range of behaviours detrimental to the upbringing and well-being of a child. Child abuse can have long-lasting effects on a child's physical and mental health, as well as their ability to form healthy relationships and cope with stress. It's important to identify and prevent it from happening in the first place while also providing support to the children and families who have experienced this abuse.

According to UNICEF, anyone under the age of 18 is considered a child.
